What your AI can do once connected
Read
- Your watchlist and holdings, with stops and targets
- The buy, add, trim and exit signals your strategies recorded
- Your trades and price alerts
Change, if you allow it
- Add or remove watchlist stocks
- Record buys and sells (fees from your settings, written into your journal)
- Change stops and targets, set price alerts
It only keeps records; it never places an order with a broker. Our rule for the AI: before any change, say exactly what will change and wait for you to agree. It can also explain every feature and help you turn your stock-picking and stop-loss rules into a strategy.
Supported apps

| Claude (web, desktop app, Cowork) | Install the Stock Compass plugin and connect it on its Connectors tab. The AI tells you where to click. |
| ChatGPT | Add a custom MCP server at chatgpt.com/plugins and choose OAuth. The AI tells you what to fill in. |
| Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and others | Add a remote MCP server; where OAuth is not supported, use an API key. |
Security and privacy
- You sign in and approve on stock-compass.app. You never give the AI your password or a key.
- Read only by default; you tick "Make changes" to allow writes.
- Disconnect at any time in Settings → AI apps & API, and it stops at once.
- Tokens and keys are stored only as hashes, and every change made through a connection is logged in Settings.
